This is our 2nd Annual Phelps Luck 5K and 1-mile Fun Run sponsored by the Phelps Luck PTA. Our 5K starts at 8:30am and explores Phelps Luck’s beautiful surrounding neighborhoods, including a scenic view of Jackson Pond. Both the 5K and 1-mile course also make use of the pathways in and around Phelps Luck, which provides a large amount of shade during the run/walk. Sign up today and come out to support your Phelps Luck PTA, our Phelps Luck PE Department, and get a little exercise to kick off a great 2016-2017 school year!
• Race Day is Saturday October 22, 2016 starting and finishing at Phelps Luck Elementary School, 5370 Old Stone Ct. Columbia, MD 21045
• All children under the age of 18 MUST register AND be accompanied by an adult.
• Packet pick-up will be Friday October 21, 2016 from 5:30pm until 7:00pm in front of Phelps Luck Elementary School or on race day Saturday September 26, 2015 from 7:00am until 8:00am.
• The 5K start time will be 8:30am and the course will mainly use High Tor Hill, side roads, pathways, and Phelps Luck Drive.
• The 1-mile run/walk will start immediately following the 5K start and the course will mainly use High Tor Hill, side roads, and pathways.
• Please arrive early, as parking will be limited to the visitor parking lot only. Carpooling, walking, and biking to the event is recommended.
• What to remember: hydrate, wear sunscreen, dress appropriately including running shoes, have fun!
• What NOT to bring: skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, animals, and headphones.
• Baby joggers/strollers are allowed for the 1-mile walk but NOT for the 5K run.
• Light refreshments will be available to participants at the finish line.
• One t-shirt is included in the registration fee. Additional t-shirts may be purchased for $7.00 each.
• ***New this year, we are also hosting a canned food drive. If you would like to donate, please bring a canned good with you to packet pick up or the day of the race. We will have collection bins at the school.

Walk up registration the morning of the race is available but t-shirt sizes are not guaranteed. It is strongly recommended that you register ASAP!
