DESCRIPTION:Pre-Registration Only – No Race Day\nWill be Capped at 500 participants\nRace starts at Sykesville Middle School with a lap around the fields – then a fast downhill to end on Main Street in the Coolest Small Town in America! \nLive music by David Riggs (https://www.facebook.com/davidriggsmusic)\, refreshments and free activities at the end of the race! \nSykesville Parks & Recreation (SPARC) will be giving out free popcorn bags for the runners to enjoy the movie in the park starting at dusk.\n“Ratatouille” will be playing (the movie in the park is a free event\, please consider bringing canned goods for the Carroll Food Sunday collection supported by SPARC\, https://www.facebook.com/events/1715885458672083/) \nHeat 1 Timed – Suggested for those able to run 12 min/mile or faster \nThis is a fast paced race – especially at the front – so younger and slower participants should line up towards the back \nHeat 2 Untimed – For those who do not want a time \nRace starts with Heat 1 at 5:00 pm followed by Heat 2 at 5:15 \nParking available in downtown Sykesville and at the Middle School \nSpringfield Ave and Main Street will be closed @ 5 pm \nPacket Pickup 8/10 – 8/12 10-7\nand 8/13 10-4 at Tri Sport Junction. \nChris Conlon will be our Guest of Honor for the Coolest Mile on Main Street.\nPlease take a moment to read Chris’ story: an amazing journey\n“From Stroke & Walker to Ironman” and consider supporting Chris with his effort to raise awareness for this cause.\nChris might have lost his speech but not his will to help others.\nWe feel truly honored to welcome him to the Sykesville runner family!\n(https://www.facebook.com/chrisconlon38/posts/10153716778996824) \nThis event is presented to you by Tri Sport Junction\, 7568 Main St Sykesville\, MD and Sykesville Main Street Association.
