SUMMARY:Ellicott City Memorial Run - 2 Miles for 2 Hearts
DESCRIPTION:2 Miles For 2 Hearts is a charity race benefiting the Elizabeth Nass Memorial Scholarship and the Rose Mayr Nursing Scholarship through the Howard Hospital Foundation. \nOn August 21 of 2012\, our community lost two amazing young women. The train derailment in Historic Ellicott City ended the lives of Elizabeth “Liz” Nass and Rose Mayr abruptly and prematurely. \nThe 2 Miles For 2 Hearts memorial race raises money for their two scholarship funds while bringing families\, friends and community members together to celebrate Liz’s and Rose’s vibrant lives. The race incorporates some of the things they loved most of all: music\, exercise and food. \nEvent details and schedule\nThe run begins at 9:00 am AT A NEW LOCATION ON COLUMBIA GATEWAY DRIVE where the post-race celebration will include food and music. \nFor more information and up to the minute details go to: http://www.2milesfor2hearts.com/ or search “2 Miles for 2 Hearts” on Facebook. \nRegistration at packet pick-up and race day (if not sold out) will be $40. \nFor our out of town participants\, Sonesta ES Suites will again be offering discounted room rates – details coming soon.
