REGISTRATION CLOSES THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 10 AT MIDNIGHT!
Going Back to School this September is a bigger topic than normal. This September we will challenge you to run by, and maybe even touch, as many schools as you can this September. Let’s say minimum goal is 7 schools a week. For some that will be the same school once every day of the week and for others that will mean 7 schools in one run, whatever works for you where you are. We will also challenge you to run a 7k at least once a week. Of course there will be homework assignments as well. Long sleeve Brooks tech shirt at the end of the month! You in?
This event is partnering with the Savage 7k event that was supposed to be in September but has had to be cancelled. That special event starts and finishes at the Carroll Baldwin Hall in Savage, Maryland and is a fundraiser to help keep it around.
We will donate $5 from every entry to the CBMI and of course we will forward any additional funds you all donate.
The Carroll Baldwin Hall still functions as a community center today. In recent years, it has undergone extensive renovations to ensure it will continue to serve as a focal point of the community.
It is maintained by the hard work of a number of volunteers, including the board of Carroll Baldwin Memorial Institute, Inc. (CBMI), a 501(c)3 whose mission is to preserve and maintain this historic landmark for the people of the Savage community for continued use for social, educational, and recreational activities.
