Final instructions for Mid-Maryland Ultra 50k and Relay.

Welcome to the 6th Annual Mid-Maryland Ultra!
Please come by Feet First in the Hickory Ridge Village Center off of Freetown Rd in Columbia between 4:30-7:30pm Friday, 2/10/17, to get your number and hoodie or shirt if you can!  You will receive your blanket there as well but if you wait to get your number race morning you won’t get the blanket race day till you are done!  The line gets long race morning and time is an issue with the race starting at 8am sharp and the park not opening till 7 Saturday morning.  Others can pick up your number for you Friday!!!  First come first serve on the sizes!!!
Relay teams will only have one number and you will hand off the number so make sure the leadoff runner gets the number before the race starts!  It would be great if only one team member checked in and picked up the number and all the shirts for the whole team, just know the shirt sizes to request!  Make sure the first runner on the team gets the number so they will be wearing it at the start of the race.
You MUST wear your number the whole time during the event!  There is a chip on the number (DO NOT BEND IT) and each time you finish a loop you will need to go through the chip system chute.  Relay team members will run through the chip system chute then take the number off and pin it on the next runner.
Plan on hot drinks and donuts from Dunkin Donuts early then great food coming from Tino’s (soup, pizza and pasta)!  PB&J’s, bagels, fruit snacks, Gatorade, candy, soda, coffee, powergels, sportsbeans and all the rest of course also!
There are only a couple portable bathrooms so we suggest and beg you stop on your way to go to help avoid the before race line issue.  You can always start the race and stop 200 yards into the race to go to the bathroom if you have to but we have to start at 8am sharp so plan accordingly!
Please bring a bag of stuff and leave it on one side of the pavilion (one side is for food and the other side is for the athletes) to make it easy for yourself if you want to change shoes or shirt (don’t forget to switch your number to the new shirt!) or eat or drink any special stuff you brought.
Parking will be crazy!  Follow the rules and park in marked spaces!  Most people will park near the tennis courts and walk over to the pavilion.  PLEASE CARPOOL IF YOU CAN!!!
Rockburn Branch Park, 6145 Montgomery Rd, Elkridge, MD 21075, follow road behind Rockburn Elementary School to pavilion at the end of the road.  Race starts at the pavilion.
The trails are raked and looking great!  Friday we will be heading to the park to paint a white line on the course for you to follow and there will be signs at some questionable turn spots and during the race we will paint the lines one more time to help keep everyone on route!
The weather looks pretty nice Saturday which is great in many ways but hydration will be more important than normal so PLEASE take your time at the aid stations and have several cups of something!  Consider having a water bottle with you on the course as well as there is only an aid station every 10k.  No trash left in the park any where though of course, thanks!
If interested in one of the few remaining shirts from the past we will have them there in the middle of the race and for sale for only $10 cash so feel free to ask to check them out!
Twitter fun #MMU50K and @LangBullseye and of course PLEASE tag Bullseye Running with all your pictures on Facebook!
Thanks all for the support and I hope you have a blast!
