9K Around the Fairway at The Timbers of Troy golf course 11/5/11 – Bullseye Running partnered with the Howard County Recreation & Parks Department to host this first time event and what a great event for the fall running calendar in Howard County.  It was a beautiful morning and watching the runners make their way around the golf course cart paths was amazing.  Check out the Bullseye Running facebook page for pictures!  The crowd was small but they all loved the opportunity to run around the scenic golf course.  Brian Fleming led the way for the men and Janeth Scott held off Sarah Lancos on the womens side.  Just like at the Masters golf tournament, a green jacket was awarded to the winners in addition to a $50 gift certificate to Dick’s Sporting Goods.  Age group winners were given a golf umbrella with the event logo on the panel as well as $10 or $5 gift certificates.  Carl Hopf, our last runner to register, won a gift certificate for four to play a round of golf at The Timbers of Troy so if you know Carl and like to play golf now might be a good time to be a little extra nice to him.  Thanks volunteers and runners for coming out to the race!  Overall Results

Father’s Day 8K 6/19/11 – A first time event was held and a new tradition in Howard County was started thanks to a fun bunch of runners who entered the Father’s Day 8k.  Congratulations to Mark Buschman and Megan McNew on their first place overall finishes to to the first place Father/Son Team of Peter and Jospeh Keating and the first place Father/Daughter team of Bobby and Julie Gessler.  Thank you to all the volunteers who came out to support the event and give the runners a chance to play.  This event could not have happened with out the communities support as well so thanks to the following sponors:  Road Runner Sports; The Columbia Bank; Trader Joes; Costco; Lowes; David’s Natural Market; Houlihan’s Restaurant and Team Challenge.
